The Palm Beach Post

"The menu at Nick's Diner says it's a ' 50's experience, and you might believe it when you step inside. With neon lights, photographs of Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean and old cars crowding the walls, the place is rich in nostalgia. Nick's even has a soda bar with old fashioned round bar stools. It dishes out the best hot fudge sundae I've had in a while, complete with real whipped cream, chopped nuts and a cherry. You may be tempted to put a quarter in the old jukebox when you see the sign that says "six plays for a quarter", but it won't take your money It plays songs continuously by artists of the ' 50's and 60's. The bright red vinyl booths complete the decor, and they are clean and comfortable. One aspect of Nick's Diner for people who work: You can dine and get back to work within an hour."

Although the menu reminds us that "Tipping is not a city in China!" the place doesn't get carried away with its own cuteness, like many ersatz diners we've known. The menu is all business. A complete selection of serious diner choices. Every conceivable kind of burger and hot dog, cheeseburger, grilled onions and French fries included, deluxe platters  with mashed or fries, veggie of the day and rolls, soup or salad. Breakfast served every day.
